Hi everyone,
I am now first able to sit up for while, though it takes quite a lot of energy. The surgical swelling is going down, and the pain is diminishing a little each day. Though my constant companion, Mr. Percoset, helps out a lot.
I just read all the posts, and am grateful and humble to have such great friends and relatives. It's part of what I use each day to motivate me to take an extra step (with my walker :)) and to visualize getting back into society.
I will write a little more each day, and soon I'll be able to speak with with each of you to thank you for your love and support personally. I'll have some amusing hospital stories to tell at my own expense - some well known to Barbara and my kids. Barbara and my kids - no man is luckier to have had such loving help as I. I wish none of you ever never needs it, but that if you do, you have no less than what you and my family have given to me. You will however, have one more supporter. Me.
More later.
Harry

Hi Harry, I am glad to read that you are home and continuing on your road to recovery. Great news that the swelling is continuing to go down and the pain is a little less each day and you are walking again. I missed reading your blog since before the weekend, we were in Ithaca bringing Brian back to school. Lee and I are thinking of you and hope you continue to do a little better each day! Marcia
So great to hear from the man himself! This really is a mark of improvement. Can't wait to get back to our international cuisine adventures.
Hi Harry
it's Yvette. I can't remember where the Ladybug id came from--sometime long ago and I don't know how to get rid of it.
I'm glad to read you are home and feeling "better". We were gone this weekend, due to no hot water for days on end and we'd had enough. Long story, but not as painful as what you've been through.
Barbara has done a wonderful job relaying your experience in an engaging way. You are a lucky man!
Take care of yourself. And Barbara, I hope you are taking care of yourself, too!

Nice to "hear your voice" on the blog, though Barbara did a wonderful job of conveying your experience. Baby steps, my friend. Remember your body knows best how to heal itself, if you let go of your impatience and listen to it!
